A parcel locker sits at the entrance of a residential complex in a mid-sized European town. The left half is covered by a flimsy awning; the right half catches the full glare of the afternoon sun. In the morning, dew settles on the exposed side; in the afternoon, rain drifts under the canopy from a slanting wind. This is where people come to pick up their packages—and this is where most screens fail.

Not because they break. They just… give up. They fog up. They reflect the sky so hard you can’t see the pickup code. They go dark when the sun hits them, and they wash out when the clouds shift. You end up tilting your phone under the canopy, squinting, wiping the glass with your sleeve. And the locker screen? It’s just there, useless, waiting for you to curse it.

ENRICH built a display that doesn’t care about the weather. Our STN transflective negative LCD handles the transition zone—that awkward space between shadow and sunlight, between dry and damp—without fuss. The semi-transflective layer reflects ambient light when it’s bright, so the numbers stay crisp under direct sun. When the sky turns grey and the canopy dims, the same layer lets backlight through, keeping the characters readable without glare. It doesn’t pick a side. It works in both.

The 6:00 viewing angle is calibrated for the way you actually stand in front of a locker—looking slightly down, at a comfortable distance. No craning your neck, no crouching. The pickup code is right where your eyes naturally fall.

And the fog? The PIN connector is sealed against moisture, so condensation doesn’t creep into the display. The screen stays clear even after a sudden rain shower, when everything else is dripping wet.

From the cool of a spring morning to the heat of a summer afternoon, it runs reliably between 0°C and +50°C (and stores safely from -10°C to +60°C). You don’t need to baby it. It just works.
